    I've heard that you should tip the captain of the boat when you cruise during the Epcot fireworks? Can you tell me if that is correct and what would be the recommended amount to tip for a boat with 6 people going? Thanks so much!!

    Hi Linda! I have taken the Illuminations cruise many times in the past and we did offer a tip to our "captains".  The amount varied as to the experience we got so it is hard to give you a specific number.  Many times we had drivers who shared lots of great trivia with us about that area and we found it so interesting. Other times we chose to have a quiet evening on the water and they respected us for that as well.  They are very accommodating to your needs and wishes!

    Tipping is very personal. We have given tips anywhere from 10-25% of the cruise cost no matter how many were on the boat. Tipping is not expected and you will have a wonderful experience no matter what. If you feel your evening was special then by all means leave a little something behind that fits into your own personal budget. Don't worry about it meeting a certain dollar amount...anything you offer is a sincere showing of thanks by you.
