Heather from MA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I heard that you can sync everything to a magic band(park passes, fastpasses, credit card) I was wondering if we still needed to bring an I.d with us if we wanted to purchase an alcoholic beverage?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Heather ~

That is an excellent question. There are so many awesome things that you can do with MagicBands including:

    * Use it to enter your room if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel
    * Use it to enter any of the theme parks and water parks (once you have linked them to your admission tickets)
    * Use it to check in at Disney FastPass+ service entrances at attractions
    * Connect your Disney PhotoPass pictures to your My Disney Experience account
    * Use it to charge purchases to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room (you can only do this during the days you are staying at a hotel)

MagicBands are a great way to reduce the number of things that you need to keep up with in the parks. However, each person that plans to purchase alcohol anywhere at the Walt Disney World Resort, will need to be prepared to present a valid government issued photo ID.

You could purchase a lanyard to keep your ID in if you want to travel light. That makes it easy to keep up with and you don't have to carry in a bag if you don't have pockets. There are so many super cute Disney lanyards and I use mine all of the time - even when I'm not at Disney.

Please feel free to visit us again with all of your questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
