I've heard you can swap dessert for a side with the meal plan starting this year. Is that true? Can you swap dessert for a side with quick service meals?

    Hey Katherine-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Who told you this amazing news? Was it the mischievous red dragon, Mushu, from Mulan? He is always giving away hints on how to make Walt Disney World more enjoyable. Yes, yes, yes, you may absolutely swap a dessert or non-alcoholic beverage for a side item or snack from a Quick Service location provided it is within the SAME transaction and the item you request be available. You may also substitute all three items in your Quick Service Disney Dining Plan meal for three snacks or sides. Hello, Dole Whips 1, 2 and 3. Yummy.

I hope this opens up a “whole new world” for your family’s dining needs. It sure has for mine.

Enjoy making and eating many Magical Memories!
