Hi!! I have heard that they have a suggested tipping amount. Is this a guideline, or do you suggest sticking to the amount suggested? What percentage is suggested? Thanks!!!

    Hi Faith!

Walt Disney World restaurants do have a 'suggested' tip amount listed on your check at the end of your bill.
For group parties of 8 guests or more, a minimum of 18% is expected and automatically added to your bill - but you can still choose to tip more than that amount if the service warrants it or you wish to.

On checks for parties of 7 or less dining at a table service location, a tip amount of both 18% and 20% will be listed below your meal totals (whether you are on the Disney Dining Plan or not) and you will can circle one of these amounts to be charged to your resort or credit card, or elect to leave a cash tip in the amount that you choose.

The great part is - based on my extensive experience dining around the parks & resorts, the wait staff at ALL of WDW's restaurants do generally provide EXCEPTIONAL service and it definitely feels worthwhile to tip them accordingly at 18-20%!

Have a Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation Faith!
