I've heard that AS Sports resort has 'counting chips' on the bottom of their cups so one can only get refills a certain amount of times. Is this true? Does this apply to the refillable mugs as well? Is this so people cant use mugs from previous trips?

    Hi Victoria,

All-Star Sports was the site of testing of RFID technology for drink cups, including refillable mugs, in 2011, but that testing has ended. I last stayed at All-Star Sports in October, and there was no sign of limitations on refills.

The official policy is that the refillable mugs are for use only during the visit in which they are purchased. Guests are supposed to purchase new mugs on subsequent visits.

I hope that answers your question. Please let me know if I can offer more planning assistance. Enjoy your visit!
