I have heard there is an special area that DVC members are able to reserve for the evening fireworks, I haven't seen this option. I was wondering if this was an option and how to reserve?

Hiya, Glen! Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your question. Chatting Disney with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member is my favorite!

Before you know it, you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, ready for your next magical adventure during the most magical time of year. How exciting! The holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort is my favorite time to visit. With the decorations, twinkling lights, and smell of gingerbread and peppermint, there just seems to be extra pixie dust in the air this time of year. With the return of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, one of my all-time favorite Disney events, it is sure to be unforgettable. No holiday trip to Walt Disney World Resort is complete without viewing both Disney Enchantment and Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show from inside and outside the theme park, so, I'm thrilled to chat about maximizing your Membership magic!

Last year, there was a special fireworks viewing spot inside Magic Kingdom Park exclusively for DVC Members at Disney Very Merriest After Hours. The viewing area was a complimentary Membership perk, but since the spots were limited, you did have to register online before the event. Unfortunately, nothing has been announced about whether or not this awesome perk will be offered at this year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but I suggest keeping an eye on the Member Benefits page on the DVC website as the first Christmas Party in November approaches for news on this and other Member benefits to be released. I also recommend following the Disney Parks Blog and @plandisneypanel on Instagram for the latest and greatest in Disney and DVC news!

If you're interested in Member-exclusive locations to view the fireworks outside of Magic Kingdom Park, you can book the incredible Disney Vacation Club Enchantment Fireworks Cruise by calling DVC Member Services 60 days before your arrival. This cruise sets sail on Seven Seas Lagoon on Wednesdays and includes champagne, sweet treats and fabulous views of the fireworks spectacular. This cruise sounds amazing, and I can't wait to do it!

Outside of Magic Kingdom Park, my favorite Member-exclusive spot to grab a cocktail and a snack and have incredible views of the fireworks is at Top of the World Lounge atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. This fantastic lounge has been reimagined and is re-opening soon under the new name Top of the World Lounge - A Villains Lair, and no reservations are necessary! Just present your digital DVC Membership Card and photo ID at the desk in the lobby of Bay Lake Tower to be chillin' like a villain!

I hope this was helpful, Glen, and I hope you have a magical and memorable holiday vacation this year! Stop by any time with any planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon,

    Mandy
