Hi! I heard somewhere that transportation from hotel to hotel can be tricky. We are staying at Art of Animation and have a breakfast reservation at Chef Mickey at Contemporary. Will we be able to simply take the bus over there?

    Hi Heather!

Enjoying an early delicious breakfast buffet at Chef Mickey's with some of our favorite Disney characters is one of the best ways to start a day at Walt Disney World! Fortunately, I am happy to report that you should be able to use Disney's complimentary Resort transportation to get you from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's Contemporary Resort where Chef Mickey's is located.

First, you will need to take a Disney bus from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Magic Kingdom. While Disney's complimentary bus transportation webpage indicates that buses start operating from Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to Magic Kingdom approximately 45 minutes prior to Park opening, in my experience I have generally found that the buses start much earlier, often an hour before Park opening time. I suggest you check with your Resort Concierge upon arrival for the exact bus start time for the day in question.

Upon arrival at Magic Kingdom, you will be able to take the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort, or make the short walk using the convenient walkway from the Magic Kingdom bus drop.

Wishing you a wonderful upcoming Disney vacation and a delicious experience at Chef Mickey's. Be sure to say hello to the "Big Cheese" for me!
