Hi ya, Larry!
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney, welcome.
Visiting the
Disneyland Resort during the holidays is always fun. You get to see the decorations, the Characters all dressed up, and even enjoy
seasonal offerings. Many Guests do enjoy visiting during this season, so the theme parks can get busy.
There have been times where the theme parks have hit their capacity maximum so Guests are no longer able to enter at that point. I recommend considering the crowd before you step out of the park. If the park does reach capacity while you are at your hotel, you may not be able to reenter.
My family hasn’t visited during the holidays in a while, but a few other panelists were at the
Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary Celebration and they mentioned that a little after lunch the park had hit capacity for a few hours. Some of them hopped over to a different park, so if you have a
Park Hopper Ticket, that might be a good option for you. You could hop on over to
Disney California Adventure Park.
I hope this helps answer your question, Larry. I also recommend chatting with a Cast Member, on the day of, before making your decision to leave or not. What they say might help guide your plans! Until then, please be sure to let us know if there’s
anything else we can help with.
