Hi Sharon,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and Merry Christmas! In my opinion, it’s
never too early for holiday wishes, and I feel that especially strongly this year because I’ve already attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and thus the Christmas season has officially begun!
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is hands-down my favorite Walt Disney World parade. Just thinking about it brings a great big, goofy smile to my face. I have always watched it from Main Street, U.S.A, because it’s such a perfect vantage point, with Cinderella Castle lit with twinkling icicles, the towering Magic Kingdom Park Christmas tree, the gorgeous decorations on the shops and lampposts, and, of course – SNOW! It's Christmas magic.
Sadly, it does not snow in Frontierland during the parade. However, there are a few bonuses to watching the parade from Frontierland. This area is much less crowded, and you’ll be able to stake out a great spot without as much wait time. You’ll also be able to enjoy some Frontierland or Adventureland attractions (be strategic about where you situate yourself so you don’t get stuck) once the parade has passed you.
If you want to be sure to see the snow, you’ll want to stake out any spot from the hub area in front of Cinderella Castle to the Main Street, U.S.A train station. You’ll also be able to catch the snow during the Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show.
Snow or no snow, there are so many amazing opportunities to experience festive fun and holiday magic during the party, Sharon! I hope you enjoy every minute of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and your holiday visit to Walt Disney World.
Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
Robyn
