Have you heard any rumors if the Wine & Dine half marathon will return as a night race in 2019? Or any talk of the return of some of the more memorable races like the Tower of Terror 10k or Expedition Everest Challenge?

Be still my heart, Whitney! I never got the chance to take a stab at runDisney’s Tower of Terror 10k or the Expedition Everest Challenge. I remember the last year they were offered, and I was so intrigued I announced that “next” year I’d sign up… only to find out the races had been ended!

There has been no talk of the aforementioned two races returning, but I’d have to say that the Tower of Terror 10k couldn’t possibly return until all of the Disney’s Hollywood Studios construction was done just from a logistics standpoint. That park was most of the route! That being said, we can always cross our fingers and watch for runDisney’s social media accounts to notify us or a Disney Parks Blog post to come about! As for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon, there has been no official word of this race returning to the night hours. But I dream of taking a long afternoon nap before dashing around the parks at night. I’ll bet the sunsets would be beautiful! I managed to cross over World Showcase Lagoon this January during the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend races just as the sun was rising over the showcase, and it was breathtaking. I even stopped to snap a few photos!

If I can help you plan an upcoming race-cation, please let me know. I’m ready… get set… GO for planning! ~ Lindsey P.
