Hello, Melissa!
A
Walt Disney World vacation is not complete for me unless I get a chance to visit some of the
resort hotels to do some shopping or grab a quick bite to eat. A friend and I actually did just that this past week, making an unscheduled visit to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to enjoy lunch and bring some souvenirs home for our children.
There are no recent rules that prohibit parking at another resort. You will still be able to visit other resorts for shopping and dining, or, especially during the holidays, seeing the holiday decorations. The only parking change that has taken place in recent months is the addition of
resort overnight self-parking fees. I will say, however, that our experience recently is that with some resorts undergoing enhancements, parking is definitely limited.
Guests are definitely encouraged to use resort transportation when they can, as with the limited parking at some resorts, it can be difficult to find a parking space in the self parking lot. You can always use valet service at the resorts that offer it, and that may at least shift the burden of finding a spot off of you.
Have a wonderful visit, Melissa!
Anna
