    I heard that you can ride Expedition Everest while running the marathon. Is that true? If so, are there other attractions we can ride too? I was told you can go to the front of the line and ride next. That would be so cool! Thanks,

    Hi Katrina!

    Oh yes!  The Expedition Everest during the marathon...how crazy (and fun) is that!

    While I have never done this, I do know that a lot of runners have.  It was more popular in the past, when the marathon ran through Animal Kingdom later in the race.  This year's course was a little different, so when I was running through Animal Kingdom, it wasn't open yet. 

    Runners can, technically, ride any ride that is open that you go past.  It is frowned upon for the runner to totally leave the course and trek halfway around a park to ride a ride, because you don't really have park admission for the day.  The reason so many choose Expedition Everest is because the race runs right past the entrance to it.  Not to mention that it's a GREAT ride!

    Runners who have done this say that the park guests in line generally think it's funny that a marathoner is riding it mid-race, and will let them go to the front.  (keep in mind that guests are under NO obligation to do so)

    So, depending on when you will be going through Animal Kingdom will determine whether or not the ride will be going.  Just keep in mind, if you do ride it, that you still have a long way to run, and most likely, the weather won't be getting any cooler:)
