Hello! I have heard there are restrictions about putting up your own decorations such as Christmas lights. I saw some information about purchasing a room makeover? Have you heard of this and where do I find the information? Thanks

    Hi Heather!

I am so glad you asked this question!  As far as policies regarding decorating your Walt Disney World Resort goes, it depends on where you are staying.  I have seen many resort rooms decorated using Christmas lights, and many guests will even put them on timers.  I would recommend calling your specific Disney Resort to inquire what specific guidelines they have.  I have heard that Disney Vacation Club Policies are quite different from other Disney Resorts, and I would think that the policy would be very different for Animal Kingdom Lodge for the safety of the animals on the Savannah.

My family and I head to Walt Disney World Resort every holiday season, and I absolutely love surprising them with something festive in our Walt Disney World Resort Room.  Disney Floral and Gifts offer many options that will fit any budget to add that special holiday magic while you celebrate at Walt Disney World Resort.  I like using this service because the decorating is virtually done for me.  Also, I only need to bring the items home, I don't have to pack and bring them with me as well.

For a splurge I would recommend Dreaming of a Disney Christmas.  This option will spoil your family with delicious treats, gifts and leave your room pixie-dusted in Christmas Spirit.  I will never forget the look on my daughter's face when we returned to our resort room with that magical surprise waiting for her.  It was absolutely priceless.

I hope that helps Heather.  If you would like to know the policy for your Walt Disney World Resort, please send me another question with that information.  I would be happy to investigate for you!
