I've heard that the resort hotels decorate for the holidays. I'm coming to Walt Disney World 11/5-11/11. Will the hotels be decorated? A friend told me not to miss the gingerbread houses at the Grand Floridian.

    Hi Bernice!

Just thinking of the Disney Resort Hotels during the holidays makes me feel warm and cozy inside. There's nothing like seeing them dressed up in all their holiday cheer...they are spectacular!

Typically, as soon as Halloween ends, the pumpkins and ghosts start coming down and the wreaths and sparkling lights start to go up. Since you will be arriving shortly after that, I would say you have an excellent chance of seeing that incredible gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (and all the other festive decorations!) One clue I can give you is this: usually the holidays are in full swing at Walt Disney World by the first date of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which is November 7th this year. I think if you want to be part of the celebration around the Parks and Resorts, you picked a perfect time to be there. I'm so excited for you!

Thanks for stopping by. Please come back if we can do anything else to help you. Here's wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation and a very happy holiday season!
