Hi Tara -
How exciting to hear that you'll be sailing with Captain Mickey next year! There will be loads of information that you can gather online to help you prepare for your voyage. But most importantly, you'll be getting your cruise documentation around 4-6 weeks prior to your sail date. It will include your personalized cruise itinerary booklet to get you prepared for your upcoming voyage. You'll also receive special luggage tags to attach to your check-in luggage. Each family member traveling will usually get 2 personalized luggage tags - and it will include your name and your stateroom number. You will need to attach these special luggage tags on your check-in bags, since it is how the ship's porters and baggage service team delivers your luggage to your stateroom on embarkation day.
You likely would have already chosen your onboard activities and port adventures at around 75 days prior to your sail date. All this information will be printed and reflected in your cruise itinerary documents. If you scheduled any ground transportation, airline, pre & post-cruise reservations with Disney Cruise Line, everything will be noted here too. You'll want to read through your cruise booklet in its entirety. This piece of magical mail will be very important to keep with you... so don't pack it in your check-in luggage. Check for name spellings - and any other personal information to make sure that everything is noted correctly -- you don't want any headaches at the port. There will be a contract signature form that you can either print from your
My Cruise Activities page online, or there will also be a copy in your cruise booklet that you can take with you to the port when you check-in.
If you have any other questions before you sail, please let us know, Tara. We're always happy to help.
Have a great day!
~ Dolly
