I have heard about pin the pins we start with have to be from Disney? Or could they be ones from our state (IL)? My kids are very excited about pin trading and I wanted to make sure we had the correct pins! Thanks!!

    Hi Megan!

Pin trading is so much fun--and a great way for your kids to get to know many other pin trading fans (as well as Cast Members)!

Pins that are eligible to be traded at Walt Disney World must be Disney Pins.  They'll have a stamp on the back, and they'll be metal.  You can pick up some pins to trade in preparation for your trip at The Disney Store.

Unfortunately, non-Disney pins are not eligible for pin trading, but would be a great conversation piece for your children's lanyards.  Here's more information on official pin trading rules.

    Have a magical vacation!
