I heard that the photo pass expires in 30 days. Is that 30 days from the date the photos were taken or is it from the time I get home and actually look at them online? Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi David!

I love using Disney's PhotoPass! You are correct that the photos expire. You have 30 days from when the photos were taken to claim them on the PhotoPass website by signing up for a free account and typing in the ID number on the back of your PhotoPass card. You can enter multiple cards in case you end up with more than one. Be sure to claim your photos within 30 days of the first day of your vacation so that they will all be there!

After you have claimed your photos, you have 30 days to add your borders, character signatures and any other extras. Your photos will be deleted 30 days from the date you claimed them on the site. It is possible to get an extension if absolutely necessary. To get an extension you have to e-mail PhotoPass customer service, and it isn't a guarantee that they will extend your photos. I always try to claim my photos and order my CD as quickly as possible after my return just to be safe.

One last tip is to take a photo of the back of your PhotoPass card with your camera. In case you lose the card, you will still have the ID number so you can claim any photos that were associated with the lost card. It's no problem to get a new card, but finding your lost pictures could be tough.

Have a wonderful trip! I hope you get some really good pictures!
