I heard that you can pay off your magic band purchases with a Disney gift card at the front desk of your hotel at the end of each day. Is that still a thing?

Hey there, Megan! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! There’s nothing like planning a vacation to Walt Disney World!

This is a great question and in short, the answer is yes! The last time our family traveled to Walt Disney World we had a few gift cards that we had collected to use during our vacation and applied the amounts to our room charges. It was actually a really simple process that I hadn’t tried before.

In fact, rather than paying your balance off each day, you might consider just applying the full gift card amount to your room (which your MagicBand links to) for your entire stay. Oh, and it’s okay if you have multiple gift cards, we did too! That way you don’t have to stop by the lobby each day, unless you really want to!

So, if you have an upcoming birthday be sure to tell your friends and family members that a Disney Gift Card is the perfect gift of choice.

If you have any other questions please let us know. Otherwise, be sure to tell Mickey I said hello!
