I have heard that the parks will stop letting in people once they reach capacity. Is this true? We r staying at poly and was planning on going to HS just for evening for opening weekend of star tours. Should we be worried? Didn't want to be there all day

Hi Danelle!  Yes, the parks can close when they reach capacity but often open up again a few hours later as guests depart.  But this generally only happens during the heavy holiday times such as New Years and Fourth of July. The park that seems to close the quickest and most often is the Magic Kingdom.

Although I can't know what will happen in the Hollywood Studios on the first day of Star Wars Weekends (I believe this is what you meant) I feel confident that you will be able to enter the park especially later in the evening. Most guests will be rushing in early and many of those will leave by late afternoon if not earlier. Just to be sure stop at the concierge desk at the Polynesian resort before you go and ask them the status of the park. They will be able to tell you so you don't make a wasted trip. But I seriously don't feel you will have any issues at this time. Have fun!
