Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Austin!
Yeah, let’s be honest. Parking isn’t exactly the most exciting thing in the world. But when we’ve got a large family to move around, it’s just one of those things for us to deal with. Fortunately,
parking at the Disneyland Resort is actually pretty reasonable.
The
Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures are breathtaking in their scale and aesthetics. I mean, for parking garages, they are amazing works of engineering and construction. And taking the tram from the structures to the parks is kind of like the first ride of the day. But my family and I actually prefer to use the Toy Story Parking Area on Harbor Boulevard. We like how a continuous flow of buses gets us to and from the parks quickly and efficiently. The recent
improvements to all of the Disneyland Resort parking have been wonderful for improving the overall experience.
But, more to your point about staying close, I have some recommendations that I hope you will find helpful. There are many options for hotels that have convenient access to
Anaheim Resort Transit (ART). But my family has come to appreciate the value of a hotel that is within easy walking distance of the theme parks. It makes it so convenient to arrive early for
Magic Morning and then to take an afternoon break to be refreshed and ready to take in the magic of
evening spectaculars and more attractions. Fortunately, there are several Disneyland Resort
Good Neighbor Hotels that are both close and that can accommodate families of six, like ours. Here is a list of some of our favorites:
I hope you have a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort, Austin.
