Welcome to planDisney, Peter. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your questions for us. Happy early birthday to you! I’m glad to hear you’re planning an upcoming trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth”!
So many people are eagerly waiting for Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels to safely reopen, myself included! And I’m going to take a hunch you’re also more than ready to visit
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park and take in all the Disney Magic.
According to the State of California Blueprint for a Safer Economy, it was recently declared that large theme parks can reopen with limited capacity, effective April 1st, 2021. However, Disneyland Resort has not yet provided a reopening date. On the other hand, I am happy to report that Disney Management recently announced its goal of having Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park reopen with limited capacity earlier than initially expected, possibly by the end of April. When Disney Management releases the reopening date and guidelines, I’m sure more information will also be announced about new ticket sales and how Guests can make park reservations prior to entry into the theme parks.
I suggest periodically checking out the
Disney Parks Blog and
Disneyland.com for all the latest details and park news. Seeing how rapidly tickets sold out for the new upcoming limited-time experience,
A Touch of Disney, (I waited almost six hours in the virtual queue to score admission tickets for my family, then about four hours for advance dining reservation), I have a strong feeling theme park tickets will sell quickly once a reopening date is announced.
