Ahoy, Panagis!
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with a thoughtful question. Your magical adventure is just around the river bend – how exciting! There’s nothing like a Disney Cruise Line vacation, and I can’t wait for your family to experience everything onboard and in the beautiful Bahamas. Adults-exclusive brunch is always a must-do for me and my husband, so I’m happy to help you snag this coveted reservation onboard. Good news – yes, you can visit the dining team on the
Disney Wish to inquire about availability. Brunch is offered on 4-night sailings, but you can also secure a dinner reservation for a 3-night cruise. Let’s walk through what to do next!
With your cruise quickly approaching, I hope you have the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App installed with your reservation connected to ensure any last-minute app updates install cleanly. Once you have passed through security and go up the escalator in the beautiful Disney Cruise Line terminal at
Port Canaveral, you can
flip your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to “onboard mode.” This will then magically populate your daily itinerary with more specifics than you could see at home, including where to visit the Dining Team on embarkation day.
Once onboard, I suggest you make visiting that team a priority and head to their indicated location. Only one person in your family needs to do this, if there are other places to visit or changes to make in your plans elsewhere onboard (for example, a spa reservation). You can then ask in person about availability at
Palo Steakhouse; they often have additional tables set aside for last minute reservations. If you’re able to secure a table, you should see this appear in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App shortly or receive a card outside your stateroom door with the confirmation.
In my experience, the team works hard to accommodate requests, so I’d
pack an extra outfit for Palo just in case! We plan around this special meal by first taking my son to breakfast and he enjoys some independent time at the
Edge Club while we brunch. Since Edge is for tweens and allows them to come and go, we set boundaries with him in advance of what he can do safely, and plan where we’ll meet him after our brunch. If your children are both in the
Oceaneer Club, be assured that they will be having a blast with the amazing counselors and special programming!
Complimentary in-room dining is a great option for the kids before a dinner reservation and youth club time.
I hope you have a fantastic escape onboard the gorgeous Disney Wish, Panagis! I love to fully unplug from my busy digital life and just feel at peace on these special vacations at sea; I’m wishing the same for you next week. Don’t forget to
secure exclusive savings on a future cruise in the app before disembarkation day!
Wishing you a magical cruise,
Amy
