I have heard that you can not bring snow globes that you purchase in Disney home on an airplane. Is this true and what are your suggestions on getting them home. That is the one thing i wanted to buy.

    Hello Melissa!

This is partly true. According to the Transportation Security Administration's website snow globes are not permitted in your carry-on luggage regardless of how much liquid they contain. You can however, pack them in your checked baggage.

Another option would be to have your snow globe shipped to your home from Disney. I have done this on occasion with large items that wouldn't fit in my suitcase or things I didn't want to worry about getting damaged in my checked bags.

When you check out at the store, tell the cast member that you would like to have the item shipped to your home. You will have to fill out a form, and you'll get a sheet with the item and tracking information. You will have to pay shipping, but you won't be charged the FL sales tax on your items (unless you live in Florida). Another plus is that when you have the item shipped it is usually covered by the carrier's insurance so if it arrives broken or otherwise damaged you can file a claim to receive a replacement.

I hope this information helps! Have fun shopping for your snow globe!
