Hi Mistie, and Welcome back to
planDisney! Thanks so much for sending me another question. I'm happy to help with your planning!
How exciting that you will be arriving at the
Walt Disney World Resort in less than two months! I have some great news for you! You actually can take a cooler into the theme parks provided it is no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. You can also bring drinks in a hydro flask-type container as long as they are nonalcoholic. If your drink is frozen, that should be ok as well, and given you are visiting during the summer, it's probably going to melt quickly. You are correct that loose ice is not allowed, however, you can bring reusable ice packs to help keep anything cold. It is also important to note that glass containers are not allowed.
Here is a list of Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules if you would like to review them in case there are other items you might be considering bringing with you. One tip I want to share is that you can visit counter service locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort and ask for ice water. It's complimentary and you can use it to refill your hydro-flask container!
I just noticed that your arrival date is also during the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and the menus have just been released! Be sure to arrive hungry to enjoy all of the yummy
food and drinks at the Global Marketplaces, because there are so many great choices. I also highly recommend that you plan to ride
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind when you are at
EPCOT! I got to ride it a couple of times earlier this month and it's now my favorite ride out of all the attractions at Walt Disney World!
Thanks again for sending me another question and placing your trust in me to help you plan your vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm excited for you!
Smiles,
Lisa
