Hi there Katherine, welcome to planDisney!
We have always had great stays at each of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels, they're all magical and wonderful in their own way, and you truly cannot go wrong. My kids love to swim for hours at the pool on a non-park day, and there are such great dining options at each hotel. We also always love to take advantage of
early entry each day we can!
I have never had an issue keeping fruit, yogurt, milk, deli meat, or cheese cold in the mini refrigerators in Disneyland Resort Hotel Rooms. I definitely would be mindful of not crowding too many items in the mini refrigerator where it may not close all the way, or be overloaded, but I've never personally had an issue. I also don't recommend trying to fit a full gallon of milk inside, but I've been able to fit a half gallon of milk or smaller individual containers with no problems. I always pickup a small container of my favorite coffee creamer as well for those early mornings!
Each Disneyland Resort Hotel also has a great
quick service dining location as well if you're in need of a quick bite on the go, or to grab your morning coffee or beverage.
GCH Craftsman Grill in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is one of my favorites, they have some delicious breakfast options such as their Avocado Toast, and it's a great place to sneak away to during a day at Disney California Adventure Park.
I hope this information is helpful for you, Katherine! I'm happy to share any other planning tips as your trip approaches, so don't hesitate to
follow-up with me directly, I'm here to help!
Have a magical day,
Melissa
