Hi Brittany!
Welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for sending this
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR! Oh, I am a BIG fan of buying
Disney Gift Cards in advance of a Disney Parks vacation and using them to pay for all of my mouse gEAR. It's almost like a way that you can pre-pay for your vacation vs. having fun and then being shocked by a massive credit card bill later on.
There isn't one list of locations that do and do not accept
Disney Gift Cards. However, I've never had a problem using them at a
shop or
dining location that was physically located inside either
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park, even in the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels! Actually, if I sit down and think really hard like Winnie the Pooh, the only two places inside the theme parks that you might have an issue using a Disney Gift Card would be the coin press machines and when paying for a
Mickey balloon. (At one point those vendors only took cash, then the pandemic happened and they switched to card-only, but I'm not sure if that also included Gift Cards or just a charging card.)
Some shops and dining locations in the
Downtown Disney District are owned by third-party vendors and they may or may not accept
Disney Gift Cards. But something that I love is that Disney Gift Cards do not expire, and any leftover funds can go towards another Disney Parks vacation at
Walt Disney World Resort,
Aulani - A Disney Resort and Spa,
Disney Cruise Line, and even on
ShopDisney.com!
I'm so sorry that this answer didn't quite clEAR up your question, Brittany, but I hope it helped to better plan your upcoming Disney days! Be sure to check out the
