I have heard there are lockers at the port Canada. My flight is not until 9 pm, so I could leave my luggage for a few hours and return to fetch them and head to the airport. How would that really work? Or should I rent a car, with a drop off at airport

    Hi MK,

Welcome back to planDisney – it's great to connect with you again about your upcoming Alaskan cruise! I am also busy with the final details for my own voyage to the Last Frontier this summer on the Disney Wonder, so I’m happy to help you understand some practical options for your day in Vancouver, British Columbia.

It’s always a sad day when we disembark a beautiful Disney Cruise Line ship and return to reality, so I’m glad to hear that you have a full day of adventure ahead of you in Vancouver before flying home. For your situation, you may either rent a car for the day’s exploring and keep your luggage securely in the vehicle until you return to the airport, or there is a luggage storage service at the port terminal. I’m unable to link the information directly, but here is where you’ll find it:

    • Run a quick Internet search for the Port of Vancouver and navigate to their official website
    • On the top menu bar, there is a Cruise option with Frequently Asked Questions listed
    • Expand the frequently asked questions menu for Services at the Port Terminal
    • There you’ll find information about short-term baggage service, available only to cruise passengers, by Westcoast Sightseeing. They have an overview of this service and additional contact information provided for your reference.

I think the decision lies with your itinerary for this special day in Vancouver, whether you will be closer to the airport most of the day or further north near the port, and your comfort level with driving around the city to explore. Whatever you choose, you will have a fantastic day!

For your sailing departing May 22, 2023 you will enjoy Formal Night on Tuesday (sea day), a special Frozen themed evening on Wednesday (Dawes Glacier day), and Semi-Formal Night on Saturday after you enjoy the seaside town of Ketchikan. This special Silver Anniversary at Sea sailing will also include all the new merchandise, treats, and entertainment onboard to commemorate 25 years of Disney Cruise Line! No doubt that this epic voyage to Alaska will make for some special core memories for your family.

Please let us know if you have any further questions as you finalize your packing and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime together!

    Wishing you a magical cruise,
    Amy
