I have heard that the llumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party is a standing-only event and no chairs are provided. Can anyone confirm whether this is true? I will be bringing a 3 yr old and a 7 yr old and standing at that time of night will be a challenge.

Hey Jerry!  Thanks for asking your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

As of right now, I can confirm that the IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party is a standing only event.  They do have cocktail tables placed around that people can stand at while enjoying their desserts.  However, the tables are tall and unfortunately small children will not be able to reach.  I do want to add that the party is so new and I think adjustments might be made to the party.  I have seen several people with concerns over no seating, especially people with kids.  I think they will take peoples concerns and suggestions into consideration.  But for now, it is standing only.  A great place to keep an eye on any updates that may be added to the party is the  The writers over there have been to the party already and have written a great review with a lot of pictures.

Have a magical vacation.  If I can help you with anything else, please let me know.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
