    I have heard that the lines after wine and dine half marathon are terrible to pick up a checked bag, will runners be allowed to use the lockers in EPCOT? Also do you know what the theme is for the 5k at the 20th anniv. marathon weekend?

    Hi Christie!

    I checked a bag at last year's Wine and Dine half marathon and actually don't remember the line being long for pick-up.  I know the one at Expedition Everest Challenge this year was a long wait, but I didn't have any trouble at the Wine and Dine.

    For the lockers in Epcot, you are supposed to turn the key in within an hour of park closing to get your deposit back.  Since the park will technically be closed, you won't be able to do that.  If you are willing to lose the deposit, you can always ask at Epcot on that race day if it's OK.  Keep in mind though, that the race doesn't start there, so you would have to make a trip to Epcot (including having a theme park ticket for that day), get the locker, and then make your way to the starting line area at the Wide World of Sports complex.

    The other option would be to not have a bag.  If you had someone waiting at the finish to hold your stuff, that would be great.  What I sometimes do, is stick my driver's license and my debit card in the pocket of either my running shorts, or my race belt.  That way, I don't have to check anything but still have what I need for what comes next.   You would need your driver's license if you plan to have any alcoholic beverages at the after-party.
