    We heard that La Hacienda is a good place to watch the Illumination Fireworks show. We have an 8 and 5 year old and are wondering if we should watch from the resturant or from outside and eat on the go. Thanks!

    We had an Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) here last week. I made an 8:30 ADR. We checked in at La Hacienda at 8:15 p.m. We were seated within a few minutes. Our table was in the largest room facing the water. We were not directly at the window but only had one table in between us and the table at the window.

    At 8:45 p.m. the outdoor torches were lit around Showcase Lagoon. At 9:00 p.m., the lights were dimmed in the restaurant and the Illuminations music was piped in.

    I noticed that there were good views from all of the tables in this room. Even the tables on the upper level in back of the room had views out to the water.

    When our child was younger, he had sensory issues to loud noises. This would have been an excellent spot to view Illuminations and hear the music but have the firework's loud booms extremely muffled. Children frightened of loud noises would also feel more comfortable in La Hacienda.

    We ordered dessert and beverages only.

    We all agreed that on a pleasant evening, watching Illuminations from outdoors is an immersive experience with better views.
