Just heard that kids can now customize their experiences on the Cruise Line rather than being restricted by age to one group of activities or locations. Just wondering if we choose and set up the activities once on board or ahead of time?

    Hi Amy,

You heard correctly!  Children between the ages of 3-12 are now welcome to enjoy both the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab and participate in the activities that are appealing to them.  Children can be checked in/dropped off at either club, and then upon their request they will be escorted to the other location by a youth counselor.   I think the ability to cross-experience both clubs which is extremely helpful to those that have siblings in another age range.

There are now Themed Experience categories for the kids' activities which make it easy for children and their care givers to identify the activities that will be most appealing to them.  Once you have registered your child for the kids club, they are welcome to join in to any of these activities.  There is no need to sign up for specific activities.

There are seven Themed Experience categories, they are:
    • Clubhouse Series - Focus on movement, and content which appeals to younger children.
    • Storybook Series - Designed with a strong connection to the Disney classic Stories.
    • Jump Up! Series - Ground games and movement oriented activities.
    • Create & Invent Series - Tactical focus allowing children to create and admire their work.
    • In the Spotlight Series - Focus on children's stage presence with lots of activities and enthusiasm.
    • Solve It! Series - Less active, but will challenge with problem/solution-based activities.
    • Out and About Series - Set outside of the designated Youth Activity spaces, consisting of very active events.

Each of these series are easily identifiable by a unique icon in the personal navigator.   I think it is a fantastic  improvement to the Youth Activities program.
