I heard there are horse drawn carriage rides I would love to do this with my family. Any information on where they are, how much and do we need to make reservations? Thanks ;-)

Hi Brian! There are two options for carriage rides at Walt Disney World:

One takes place at Disney's Port Orleans Resort and is a 25 minute scenic tour along the Sassagoula river and through the resort. The carriage holds up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children. The first ride takes place at 6pm and the last departs at 9:30, weather permitting of course. You can find the carriage in front of Boatwright's Dining Hall at Port Orleans Riverside. Rides are $35 and tickets must be purchased with cash or room charge, no credit cards are accepted. You can book rides in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY or make same-day reservations at the Riverside Marina.

The other carriage ride is over at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and explores the vast and scenic resort grounds. There are two sizes of carriages there; the smaller holds 2 adults and 1 small child while the larger holds 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children. The 25 minute ride has the same times and prices are the same as the Port Orleans carriage ride. You pick up the carriage in front of Crockett's Tavern at Pioneer Hall. Walk-ups are accepted if the carriage has not been booked already.

I hope that helps with your planning!! Have a wonderful time, the carriage rides are a wonderful way to see a different view of the "World"!
