I heard that at the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland you can request a death certificate I was wondering if you can also get a death certificate at the Haunted Mansion in Disney World?

    Hi Tammy,

The Haunted Mansion is my absolute favorite attraction in Walt Disney World. In fact, I had a "Proud Papa" moment today when someone asked my 4-year-old daughter about her favorite thing she did last week when we were at Walt Disney World. Without hesitation, she replied, "The Haunted Mansion!"

    That's my girl!

You asked a great question about the Death Certificates. Like you, I've also heard that they occasionally offer them in Disneyland, but unfortunately I've never seen or heard about them at Walt Disney World. It certainly can't hurt to ask the cast members though!

One of the reasons I love this attraction so much is because I feel like I'm always seeing something new or getting a better understanding of the storyline each time. For example, one my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panel members told me that if you hang out in the stretching room long enough, you'll hear a ghost's voice saying, "Get out!"

Of course, I had to put this to the test!

The very next time I visited The Haunted Mansion, I stood back and let the other guests usher out of the stretching room so I could wait for the voice.

As all of the guests left, I was the only one left standing in the room with the host cast member. He looked confused, so he slowly walked over toward me and silently raised his arm out to the side in an attempt to encourage me to follow the rest of the guests.

I politely said to him, "Oh, I'm just waiting to hear the voice that says, 'Get out!'."

With his stone cold stare and his arm still locked outward, he muttered, "Get out!"

It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it was still pretty awesome!!

I hope that helped! Please feel free to write back if you should have any additional questions and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
