I have heard that Halloween night Ft. Wilderness puts on different activities--how do we find out about this? and is it easy to get to from Port Orleans Riverside?

    Hi Courtney,

There is some information available on the unofficial website The DISboards which details Halloween activities which were offered at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground on 30 & 31 October last year. You can find this information here:- http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/halloween.htm

Activities included a pumpkin carving contest, a Halloween golf cart parade, a Cabin/Site decorating contest, spooky crafts, pumpkin pool games and more.

As far as I am aware, these activities were only available to Guests staying at Fort Wilderness Resort so I would suggest that you ask a Cast Member at your Resort hotel to check if this is the case before making your way over.

The best way to get from Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground would be to catch a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then from there take a boat to Fort Wilderness Resort. I would allow approximately 75 minutes for this journey taking into consideration travel time and time which will be spent waiting for the next bus/boat to arrive.

I have not seen any official announcement of what activities will be on offer on at this Resort this year but would imagine that it would be along similar lines.

I hope that this information has been of help and wish you a spooktacular trip!
