I have heard about guests being "Preferred Guests" and get the preferred rooms at the resorts. What qualifies someone as a preferred guests? We are on our 3rd trip within a year and a half this September. We are staying at the Art of Animation R

    Hi Nikki,

It's actually the resort rooms that are preferred not the guests. Preferred guest rooms can be booked in order to be closer to a resort's food court, bus transportation, etc. These always cost more than a standard room.

Preferential treatment is not given to any guests whether it's their first visit at Walt Disney World or their hundredth. I've been staying on-site at Walt Disney World since our honeymoon in 1991 and do not receive any preferential room assignments.

And that's the way it should be! All guests should get the same magical experience at Walt Disney World.

Of course, sometimes a guest is given a complimentary upgrade but this is at the Cast Member's discretion and is not guaranteed.

I hope this clarifies the preferred guest question for you. Stop back if you have more questions!

And enjoy Art of Animation. I toured it in June and it's beautiful!
