Hi Hazel!
Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I just had the opportunity to ride
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! this past weekend and I think it may have taken the spot as my new favorite attraction!
In comparison to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: BREAKOUT! is the same mechanics that were previously there. So you will still experience the thrilling drops from before. While the previous attraction had more of the spooky factor that intensified the drop, for the newer attraction it's more like being at a rock concert! The best way I can think to describe it is for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror there would be the plummets, then you could come back up, then plummet again. For Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission: BREAKOUT! it feels more
springy to me. The new and improved randomized sequence leads to a more unexpected bounce where you aren't really sure if you'll be shooting upwards or downwards, but the mechanics are certainly smoother. Overall, I would say it's more thrilling than the previous attraction because of the unexpectedness and the
awesome soundtrack!
If you weren't able to ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, you may want to skip out on this one. It certainly felt longer to me than The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was, so if you were uncomfortable during that experience, you'll likely have the same feelings, but for a longer duration on this one. It really is such a fun attraction though, so if you do want to try it and have any other questions about it please come back and let us know!
