I've heard there is a great inexpensive buffet in Fort Wilderness. Are there any buffets with comparable prices in any of the parks? ( They all seem more expensive!)

    Hi Sue,

The buffet at Fort Wilderness is a fairly good deal, and you're right - the buffets in the parks are all more expensive.  Keep in mind, though, that the buffets you'll find in the parks feature characters or other entertainment options that are included in your meal price.

While I couldn't find another buffet that was as inexpensive as the one found in Fort Wilderness, Whispering Canyon Cafe offers an all you can eat skillet meal for a comparable price.  The skillet at breakfast includes eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy & waffles.  The lunch/dinner skillet has pork ribs, chicken, sausage, baked beans, veggies, coleslaw, mashed potatoes & corn bread.  If you've never been to this restaurant, try it.  The food is great, and children have a ball.  It's just a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, so it's very easy to get to.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
