I think you may be asking about the Batuuan Spira Credit Medallion, a very cool souvenir that looks just like one of the ancient coins used on the planet Batuu! The best part about it is that it functions just like a
Disney Gift Card so you can use it anywhere on any other planet that accepts them. There is a barcode number on the back that you can use to check your balance on the Disney Gift Card website, or by calling 1-877-650-4327.
At the moment, the only place that you can purchase the Batuuan Spira Credit Medallion is on the planet Batuu itself. I have seen them before at
Droid Depot, but like you said they are very popular and do sell out quickly when they come into stock. If you're going to be visiting
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and getting the Medallion is a priority for you, I recommend stopping by Droid Depot on your way in from the entrance that is closest to
Toy Story Land. Here's a tip: there is usually a line of people waiting to build their astromech units at the front entrance of the shop, so check out the back entrance to see if they have any Batuuan Spira Credit Medallions at the checkout there.
