    I heard you can get a free pin at guest service first time pin birthday etc....any other fun things like this to make our time more memorable? Also what are hidden mickeys? Thanks so much!

    Hi Dianna!

         Yes, you most certainly can get a free button at Guest Services in any of the Parks of Walt Disney World.  There are buttons for Birthday's, Celebrations, First Visits, Just Engaged, Just Married, Anniversaries, I'm Celebrating, and for many more special occasions.  It is wonderful to be congratulated by Cast Members and even fellow Guests as you walk around the Parks because you are wearing a celebration button! 

         Hidden Mickeys are complete or partial images of Mickey Mouse carefully hidden by Imagineers (Disney engineers and artists who designed and built Walt Disney World) in rides, attractions, Resorts, restaurants, and other areas of Walt Disney World.  Typically a classic Hidden Mickey is three circles, one large circle which is Mickey's head and two smaller circles for the ears, but there are many other types of Hidden Mickeys such as a profile view of Mickey or even a detailed picture of Mickey Mouse.  Most often Hidden Mickeys are very difficult to find so it is very rewarding to discover one!  Once you find one Hidden Mickey you will be hooked for life.  

    If you are interested in finding out more about Hidden Mickeys, you can learn more about them from my friend, Steven Barrett in his book called: Hidden Mickeys A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Secrets.  You can even purchase this book in Walt Disney World as it is in the stores at all the Parks and Resorts (just look for the Yellow Book).
