I heard that it is free to park in the Beach/Dolphin/Swan parking lots in order to enter the rear Epcot entrance. Is this valid? I will *not* have checked into my Disney hotel yet.

    Hi, Eric! Welcome to planDisney!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is almost here! Just think, in only four days, you'll be sampling the wares at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Have you checked the menus to choose the tastes you'd like to try? For me, it's all about the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup!

Eric, as a Guest of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can start enjoying your benefits the moment you arrive! That means you can park at your Resort hotel or one of the theme parks and get your vacation started even if your room isn't ready just yet. However, you won't be able to park at the Walt Disney World Swan or Dolphin Hotels or Disney's Beach Club Resort to visit EPCOT. Parking at all Resort hotels is reserved only for Guests who are staying at that hotel or have dining reservations there. Your best bet is to either park in the main EPCOT parking lot, or park at your Resort hotel and take Disney transportation to the park.

Also, I recommend you go ahead and start the online check-in process via your My Disney Experience account before you arrive (you can even do it right now!). That will save you a trip to the front desk, and ensure that you get all of your benefits as a Resort hotel Guest. Plus, you'll get a text message when your room is ready, so you can enjoy the parks as long as you like and head straight to your room when it's time for a break.

I hope this helps you make the most of your Disney day, Eric! Thank you so much for stopping by, and please come see us again any time you have a question. We're always here to help!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
