I heard that the DW resorts were going to have online check-in starting in 2009.Is there any information about that on the website. We are staying at the all star movies from Jan 18-23.I would love to check in before we get there!Love the forum! Keep it up!

    Hi Erica,

The Online Check-in Service is supposed to begin in early 2009! Unfortunately, we don't have any specific dates to give you (we are all just as much "in the dark" as everyone else until the very last minute). We don't even have any information about the Calendar everyone is asking us about. The Calendar is another one of those "dates should be available up to 6 months", but as you are probably aware, the May, June and July dates and hours available are still not showing and as frustrating as it can be...we just have to deal with it!  I would hope that this new system is in place for you to take advantage of for your January trip, but I wouldn't count on it as "Early 2009" could mean a few different months in the beginning of this year. Keep an eye open on www.waltdisneyworld.com

For those guests who do not know what this service you are talking about is I will try to explain....the complimentary online check-in service will allow guests to register and check-in to their resort hotel from the convenience of their own home or business. Designed to simplify guest arrivals, this service will be available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels and Disney Vacation Club resorts.  Guests who take advantage of Disney's Online Check-In service will be able to login and complete their resort check-ins beginning 10 days prior to their scheduled arrival date. They will also be able to confirm their reservation, add room requests and enter information about special occasions they are celebrating during their visit. Upon arrival, room keys and other registration material will be waiting for guests at a special welcome location, where Cast Members will be available to provide additional information and answer questions. This convenient system will allow the guest to have all materials, specifically their welcome folder and room keys, ready for them when they arrived at the Resort.

    Happy New Year!
