I've heard that during free dining promotions we automatically get the quick service plan if we stay in a value resort. Is it possible to pay the difference and still stay in a value, but upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan? Or do we have to change resorts?

Stephanie, who doesn't love free dining?

Typically the quick service dining plan is provided for families staying at a value resort when a free dining promotion is offered. You are welcome to upgrade to the standard Disney Dining Plan by simply paying the difference in cost from the quick service plan. No need to change resorts! The table service credits that allow you to sit down for a nice meal or enjoy a character dining experience are my favorite aspects of the DDP, so upgrading to the plan that provides one table service meal a day seems like a splendid idea.

    Enjoy your delicious meals!
