    I heard that Disneyland can be hectic when ABC’s Very Merry Christmas Day Parade footage is taped. Does that create a busy time at Disneyland and is there a way to confirm in advance when the taping will be? Thank you!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your great question about the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.

    Although Disney never officially confirms the dates that segments of the annual holiday parade will be filmed at the Disneyland Resort, in the recent past it has occurred in early November. However, please keep in mind that the filming is always subject to change without notice due to various factors, so it’s difficult to plan your vacation around it. In my experience, the first week of November is generally not a busy time in the parks, and those who want to watch the taping remain in areas this happens—mostly on Main Street, U.S.A.—so I don’t suspect it would have a huge effect on your visit overall.
