I heard that Disney World is crowded at Thanksgiving. We are planning to arrive Nov. 28th, the day after and would be staying till Dec. 6th. Would this be a good time with pretty low crowds? I really want to be there for the Christmas decorations too.

Yes, you will find Thanksgiving week is generally more crowded, particularly around that holiday weekend.   I have visited during this week and stayed through the following Tuesday after.    Based upon my experience, the crowds started to thin out a bit on that Sunday after Thanksgiving and by Monday the crowds were reasonable.   Since you are planning to stay well after Thanksgiving, you should find plenty of time to visit the parks when crowds are smaller.    Regarding Christmas decorations, you are in luck.    All the Christmas festivities are in full swing typically the week before Thanksgiving!
