I heard on the Disney dinning plan, quick service, if you don't want a drink you can get a dessert. Is that correct?

    Hi Karri!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Dining at Walt Disney World is quickly becoming it's own reason to visit; I like to say that Disney is becoming an Eat Park, too! Be sure to like and follow the Disney Parks Blog across all of their social media accounts so you'll never miss a minute of new Disney news!

Starting this year and continuing in 2019, all Disney Dining Plan Quick-Service and Table-Service meals come with your choice of a regular beverage like soda, tea, coffee or juice, or you can choose a premium beverage, like an artisanal milkshake or smoothie. Guests 21 years and older can even order an alcoholic beverage if they'd like! Some Quick-Service dining locations might let you swap out your beverage for a dessert or even an appetizer or side item. However, substitutions are up to each individual dining location, both their management team as well as if they have any such optional accommodations to make. But do note that if you are able to turn your beverage into a delicious dessert, you would be foregoing your beverage altogether, even the regular options, with the exception of ice water.

You might have more luck making these swaps at a Table-Service dining location, or at your Disney Resort Hotel, where your Refillable Beverage Mug will fill in as your drink if you can successfully swap your premium beverage out for a dessert. It never hurts to ask, especially at Disney where dreams come true. Be sure to double check with the cast member stationed at the door as well as the one who will be ringing you up before you order anything to confirm if that specific location will allow such change.

I hope this helped, Karri, and We'll See You Real Soon!
