I heard Disney will begin allowing resort guests to enter parks half an hour early. Is this effective immediately? If not, when will this perk begin?

Hi Ward! Welcome back to planDisney!

It looks like you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort VERY soon! I love exploring the theme parks during this time of year. Great weather, fun events like the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and typically lower crowds after the holiday season ... what more could you ask for?!

The internet has been buzzing with the announcement of Early Theme Park Entry. Having the ability as a Disney Resort hotel Guest to visit any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks 30 minutes before the theme parks' opening hours is a wonderful benefit! Since Extra Magic Hours did not return when the Walt Disney World Resort reopened, I think we are all happy to hear that a small piece of that will make its way back this year.

At this time, we do not know exactly when this benefit will begin. Since this is part of the 50th Celebration, we can expect more details and an exact date to be released as the anniversary approaches. Unfortunately, this means it likely will not be available during your upcoming vacation, but it gives you an excellent excuse to plan another trip!

Enjoy every moment of your visit, Ward, and please let us know if you have any other questions.
