I just heard about the Dinoland Dance Party, but can't find times anywhere. Can you help?

Hello, Shawna! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad to hear a reminder of a GREAT dance party that used to be in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The Dinoland Dance Party doesn’t happen regularly anymore, it’s only brought out for special events… but that means that you might see it one day in the future. Things are always changing and more pixie dust is being added all the time.

If you are really wanting and character-filled dance party with plenty of music and jamming, I recommend Magic Kingdom’s “Move It, Shake It, Dance & Play It! Street Party” which happens several times daily on Main Street, U.S.A. Floats parade down the street and stop in the main Hub, where you can snap photos as you dance with your favorite characters and some of your photos can even be submitted with a hashtag and appear on the big screens! It’s a ton of interactive fun! You can find the times for the “Move It, Shake It!” Event on the website.

There is also the Viva Gaia Street Band that performs in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and there’s nothing my son loves more than grabbing a drum and joining in the fun. After you are done dancing your feet off, take a break in Pizzafari and play I Spy with your kids with everything in the restaurant; it’s a great place for families!

Boogie down and have a wonderful vacation! ~ Lindsey P.
