Heard conflicting reports and own memory is hazy. If you're a resort guest at one resort can you use the magicband-resort guest lane at the front entrance of another resort? Seem to remember doing so in 2017 at AKL but maybe it's changed since?

Hello, Jennifer! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for allowing us to help with your inquiry!

Walt Disney World Resort’s MagicBand system is possibly my favorite perk of staying on property at a Disney Resort hotel. In addition to being quite stylish and customizable, MagicBands offer Guests a secure, all-in-one method of accessing their vacation plans and selections made through the My Disney Experience app. Some of these applications include unlocking the door to your Disney Resort hotel room, entering into theme and water parks with valid admission, checking into your FastPass+ experiences while visiting theme parks, connecting Disney PhotoPass images to your My Disney Experience account, and billing food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room during the duration of your stay.

MagicBands can also be used to enter into the Disney Resort hotel at which you are staying. You can utilize your MagicBand and enter through the resort guest lane only at the Disney Resort hotel in which you are currently staying. For example, if you are currently staying at Disney’s Port Orleans - Riverside Resort, your MagicBand can be used to enter through the resort guest lane. However, if you are not staying at Disney’s Port Orleans - Riverside Resort but have dining reservations at Boatwright’s Dining Hall, you will have to stop by the guard shack and show your government-issued ID  in order to enter the property.

Hopefully this has shed some light on the contradicting answers you’ve previously received!
