Welcome Home, Debra! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney with your question today. Like Tarzan, I'm ready to swing into action to help out a Guest in need!
Debra, I am sorry to say that I have searched high and low for information about a coat rack-making experience at
Walt Disney World Resort, and it appears that this activity is not available. I did, however, discover this darling
Mickey Mouse Icon Wood Hook Rack at shopDisney which (much to my husband's chagrin) I have decided I need for my own castle!
If you're hoping to create a unique souvenir during your April vacation, I do have some suggestions that may fit the bill!
- The Colors of Coronado Painting Experience is a 2-hour class led by local artists at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort at Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood. You'll leave with your own masterpiece to display proudly at home! Currently, the workshop is held on Friday afternoons and you can check availability online.
- The Animation Experience at Conservation Station is another opportunity to explore your inner artist. This is a 25-minute workshop held several times daily at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. A talented Disney animator will guide you through the steps to bring a beloved Disney character to life!
- For a special keepsake that you can wear, visit Akoya Pearls, located in Mitsukoshi Department Store in EPCOT's Japan Pavilion. This is our oldest daughter's favorite Walt Disney World tradition--we stop here on every visit so she can enjoy the pick-a-pearl experience. You can either take your loose pearl home, or it can be set in a piece of fine jewelry before your very eyes.
Debra, I hope that your coat rack disappointment is short-lived and that you're counting down the days until you arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth. It will be here before you know it! If our planDisney fam can help with any additional vacation planning questions, please reach out anytime.
Stay Magical!
Susan
