I heard that if you check in to your flight online (or use Early Bird on SWA) you cannot use the Resort Airline Check in anymore. And, they will not take your luggage for you. Is this true? With kids, we love this service AND SWA early bird check-in.

    Hi, Carla!

I just used the Resort Airline Check-in at a Disney resort a few days ago.  I had already checked in (with United, I could check-in at the beginning of my trip for my return flight.)  I went to the desk with my luggage, photo identification, and my flight number.  They looked everything up, tagged my bags, printed my boarding passes and we were good to go.  Having already checked in did not make any difference.

This is such a great service.  This allowed us to head to the parks for a few final hours of magical fun before heading home without worrying about hauling luggage.

Southwest Airlines is a participating airline, so I do not believe you would have any trouble.  What I would do is early in your vacation, stop by the Resort Airline Check-in desk (open 5am - 1pm daily) and ask them the proper procedure so you do not have any last minute surprises when getting ready for your Southwest flight.

Have a great trip and a safe flight to Orlando!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
